Friends of Antinationals

There was a seminar held in New Delhi promoted by the ilks of Arundhati Roy, Varavara Rao and self professed guardians of Human Rights. The known separatists, Hurriayat leader Mr Syed Ali Shah Geelani addressed this “Convention on Kashmir – Azadi: The only way” organised by the Committee for the Release of Political prisoners (CRPP). (Refer ‘The Hindu’ News Paper of 22 Oct 10) where in Arundhati Roy and Varavara Rao expressed their solidarity with Kashmiri seperatists who were ranting on self determination.
This act of organizing, being there for such event and expressing solidarity at the least should attract a charge of Sedition under IPC Section 124A. Sedition which says‘whoever, by words, either spoken or written, or by signs, or by visible representation, or otherwise, brings or attempts to bring into hatred or contempt, or excites or attempts to excite disaffection towards. the Government established by law in India, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, to which fine may be added, or with imprisonment which may extend to three years, to which fine may be added, or with fine’ and at the most along with slapping the IPC, Indians and particularly those who have undertaken a Rashtravrat (for knowing more about Rashtravrat please refer to http://rashtravrat.blogspot.com/2010/05/rashtravrat.html and if you are not getting to the required page then copy paste this link)  should collectively and instinctively boycott these self proclaimed eminent personalities and stop reading their books unless they regain their lost consciousness.
Some more aspects which require more deliberations are as follows:-
(a)       Personalities like Arundhati Roy, just to remain in public gaze can go to any limits. We as citizens should be watchful of their gimmicks.
(b)       People like Arundhati Roy should have basic pride of being Indian and therefore should have respect for Indian unity. They should know that these aspects should not be compromised in the course of their pursuit of being famous, wealthy and relevant in the society. If they fail in complying to these basic nationalistic aspects then we as concerned citizens of India should boycott them and their views till they learn these basic concepts of nationhood.
(c)        Govt of India and the party heading it should be ever vigilant about these so called ‘seminars’ and should probe the source of funding to such groups and seminars. In all probability, these seminars and NGOs may be resourced and supported by Pakistan and other not so friendly countries.
(d)       Govt of India should promptly act by slapping the appropriate IPC on these so called ‘eminent personalities’ and citizens should support such an act of Govt of India whole heartedly and instinctively.
Remember that as Abraham Lincoln has said “the idea of secession is the essence of anarchy”. Let our state not follow that path and for this we should remain ever vigilant.
