Farm laws have been repealed.
As it is they were kept in suspended animation indefinitely by Supreme Court.
Better to scrap them for following reasons
- Due to various vested interests people were opposing them (without understanding them) even if they are under stay by SC.
- by repealing them BJP has shown that it listens and doesn't make ego issues like they had done it for Land acquisition Bill.
- Till 2024 Tikait (propped up by opposition and manufactured opposition) would have hurt BJP even though the laws were good and were for the betterment of farmers .... FARM LAWS (CLICK THIS LINK IF YOU WANT TO READ MORE), they were a choice given to the farmers, they were giving more opportunities of selling their produce still a narrative built up and the toolkit was opened.
- there was a feeling that public awareness was lacking about the bills.
May be 2024 elections would be contested on FARM LAWS -- who knows.. it requires more awareness , it requires more जनजागृती
